Introducing Andrew: Our QLD Senior Estimator

We’re pleased to introduce Andrew Nicholson, Senior Estimator for our Queensland team at Hudson Homes.

Andrew brings a wealth of hands-on and leadership experience to the role, having spent decades working across both on-site construction and office-based management. He began his career on site as a carpenter, where he spent around eight years building practical knowledge before running his own carpentry business.

From there, Andrew moved into estimating, working across both production and sales estimating. Over eight years, he progressed into the role of Estimating Manager, gaining strong insight into cost planning, build efficiency and project delivery. He later continued his estimating career as a Sales Estimator, bringing his total estimating experience to around ten years.

Andrew held the role of Construction Administration Manager for 13 years. During this time, he oversaw estimating, construction administration, certifiers, engineers, clients and on-site teams, playing a key role in coordinating projects from start to finish.

Most recently, Andrew worked with One Solution Building Services as General Manager of Construction. While the business was primarily focused on insurance work, Andrew was brought on to establish and grow their retail construction arm, including new homes, renovations, knock down rebuilds and granny flats.

Now part of the Hudson Homes team, Andrew brings a well rounded perspective shaped by years on site, in estimating, and in senior leadership roles. His experience supports our commitment to accuracy, quality and a smooth building journey for our clients across Queensland.
