Meet Paul Fidler, Our Drafting Team Leader and House & Land Packaging Specialist at Hudson Homes
We’re proud to welcome Paul Fidler to Hudson Homes in the role of Drafting Team Leader and House & Land Packaging Specialist.
With more than 25 years of experience across residential design, drafting and design management, Paul brings extensive industry knowledge to the team, spanning work with volume builders, developers and custom home builders.
Throughout his career, Paul has led technical design teams while remaining closely involved in the drafting process, with strong hands-on experience in Archicad and a deep understanding of buildability, compliance and documentation quality. His background covers product development, custom housing, medium-density projects and master-planned estates, giving him a broad and practical perspective across many areas of residential construction.
Paul has been directly involved in the design and delivery of more than 12,000 homes and over 50 housing estates. That level of experience reflects not only the scale of his career, but also his strong focus on accuracy, consistency and creating documentation that supports a smooth construction process from the outset.
In his role at Hudson Homes, Paul is responsible for leading and coordinating the Queensland drafting team. He also oversees drafting workflows, quality assurance, compliance checking and technical governance, while acting as the escalation point for more complex drafting and compliance matters.
Alongside this, Paul leads and manages House & Land packaging activities across Queensland and New South Wales for Hudson Invest, including siting, covenant compliance, package pricing and wholesale permit plans. He works closely with National Business Development Manager Rod Humphreys and other internal stakeholders to help ensure accuracy, consistency and timely delivery across the business.
Paul’s role is an important one, with a strong focus on strengthening drafting governance, improving documentation quality and supporting the efficient management of House & Land packaging across Hudson Homes.
